TAF Consulting has provided strategic planning, financial analysis, management reporting, communication and training services to colleges, universities and nonprofits since 1999. Tracy Abedon Filosa has over 16 years of experience as a financial analyst, management consultant, project manager for technology implementations, training developer, presenter and writer. She began her career as a Consulting Associate at Cambridge Associates, a consulting firm that provides financial and investment consulting to nonprofit, endowed institutions. She went on to Financial Analyst positions at Northeastern University and Tufts University. These assignments honed her analytical, financial reporting and writing skills. After acquiring an in-depth understanding of the business of non-profits, Tracy became a Consultant at Barbara S. Shafer and Associates, a boutique consulting firm that provides management consulting to museums, colleges and universities. Her clients included the National Association of College and University Business Officers, Fordham University, Boston College, the Museum of Fine Arts Boston, Northeastern University, Wellesley College and the State University of New York at Geneseo.
In 1997 Tracy went to work at Harvard University as a Project Manager for Project ADAPT, the University's Oracle Financial Systems implementation project. She was responsible for the University's new Chart of Accounts, financial reports and functional and training documentation.
In 1999 Tracy Filosa founded TAF Consulting to put her financial, management and technology experience and analytical and communications skills to work for higher education and nonprofit clients. As a result they are able to communicate effectively with employees, customers and stakeholders, and successfully secure and manage resources.
Tracy has a BA in English from Tufts University and an MBA with high honors and certificate in Public and Nonprofit Management from Boston University. She is a member of the Eastern Association of College and University Business Officers (EACUBO), the Society for College and University Planning (SCUP) and the Tufts University Alumni Council. |
